OSC Comet Processing, debayered vs registered files before SXT if meridian flip

In OSC color comet video Adam uses the debayered vs registered files before SXT. If meridian flip performed during imaging that is not corrected at this stage. Any downside to using registered files vs debayered? Thank you.

  • The problem with the meridian flip is that CometAlignment will not work well... likely due to the fact your mount is not geometrically perfect. So...in the case of meridian flips... definitely go from the registered data. You will not be able to get CA to work  (unless you do not have a flip).
