Metal Prints

Hello Mr. Block (sensei),

Greetings from Japan. By any chance do you have a video (I can't find one) on knowing when an image is good enough for hanging on the wall and the steps for preparing an image for a metal print or any large print for that matter? I've read that it's not uncommon for a metal print to come out darker or fuzzier than expected.

Thank you so much for your excellent videos. Pixinsight is evolving on a daily basis and with your help, our knowledge and skills can grow also.

  • Hi George,

Typically if you find a high end printing company- you can order inexpensive samples of a small piece of your work. You can either submit multiple versions- or look at a "native" version and compensate based on what you get back. I have found this approach works perfectly fine. I agree with your sentiment about darker and color saturation is an issue as well. I have not had a problem with "fuzzier."
