Horizon Subscription, where do I start?

I've taken the plunge and invested in Horizons videos, primarily for Narrow band images. I'm wondering where is the best place to start...is there a introductory video on the workflow for NB images and how it may differ to LRGB?

Whilst nights are short and clear skies scarce, time for me to watch a few videos on techniques, lessons and fixes.

Talking about fixes, I have some data where guiding wasn't good resulting in egg shaped stars, is there a video that may help guide me fix these, rather binning the data, would be interesting learning experience.

Thanks in advance.

  • I do not have a good video on fixing elongated stars. (Typically optical aberrations make them change their orientation across the field of view). It is my understanding that deconvolution can somewhat address this..but I have never seen it done well.

Regarding Horizons. There really isn't a prescribed order. That is the thing (I enjoy) about it. I freely upload whatever I can without the more formal stuff I did in Fundamentals. I am just now starting to dive into NB. I really only have two real NB videos. The Squid nebula... and NGC 3199.

NB is really an artistic thing... not much of a workflow in terms of post processing. Check them both out and see what I mean.
