PhotometricColorCalibration in FastTrack Training

Hi,
Adam recommended downloading the APASS and GAIA star catalogs and having them directly on a hard drive for use when running PCC. I did this (taking days! with slow and intermittent internet). However, how does PI and PCC recognize these catalogs when there is evidently no mechanism to direct PCC as to their location. When I do run PCC, the only option seems to be selecting the web-based servers where these catalogs reside.
What have I missed?

    Automatic catalogue always defaults to local catalogs if they exist first.
    You can prove this to yourself by selecting Automatic Catalog...and when PCC runs you will see what catalog it chose in the console output. (And you will see it chose your local ones.)
