  The more typical issue is that you need to start up PixInsight at a command prompt (this is a Windows suggestion) using the --default so that all modules are reloaded. If bet since you are asking this question- you have already done everything I can think of.

  
  

  That is why I posted the link above- there is also the case that some graphics/CPU instructions are not supported on certain computers. And everyone with that kind of computer runs into this issue.
