Adam,
I want to pass on my thanks for posting the video tutorial "Remove Scattered Light in Pixinsight". This saved my bacon on my last image which not only prevented me from having to throw away 35+ hours of data but also earned an IOTD on Astrobin for 28 Jan. Because of the extent of the reflections in my data, I had to use a modified form of your tutorial but I still managed to salvage the data set and produce a respectable image. I've attached an image showing the extent of the reflections that I was dealing with. The Blue master was in the best shape but still needed work before I could use this as the 'clean' image to work from. I used this background and the LinearFit process to clear the reflection artefacts from the Green and Red masters. I then created three separate work flows which were for: the background, the galaxy and the stars and then combined them all for the final image.
Thanks again Adam and clear skies,
Rodney
