Dynamic Background Extraction

edited June 2025 in PixInsight
Hi Adam,

Going through the Fast Track and working on the Dynamic Background Extraction, your image header had the suffix of DBE ... might did not.  What didn't I do correctly?  Also, once you clicked the check mark, your image got a purple tint ... mine did not.  The result looked very similar to yours so I am not sure if it makes a difference.

Thank you sir!
Wayne

UPDATE:  I went on to BlurXTerminator and our image headers agree.

  • Right- the color offsets depend on a number of factors- so we will not get precisely the same answer. But it doesn't matter. Once you use the linked STF you and I should have approximately the same answer. Later after color calibration even better.

Keep in mind- my video records the stupid issue with the Cosmetic Correction. That did mess up my color and I only figured it out later. So that is likely the reason for the differences. As long as you followed my direction and used the template version of CC- you are doing it correctly.
