Hi Adam
I thought I would drop a note regarding a recommended computer configuration. I recently got a remarkable buy on a HP G9 workstation. It runs on Pixinsight in parallel with 20 processors. It is equipped with a NVidia T400 graphics card which is based on the Turing architecture and has 384 CUDA cores. I set Pixinsight up to use the CUDA cores. I only had to pay $1200 in total and received a 3 year warranty. I tried out the same set of data (Flaming Star) you used in the Fast Track course and ran the Step 12 full WBPP case. I was pleasantly surprised to see it only took a little under 4 hours to complete vs the 27 hours in the Fast Track example for a 7 fold reduction in processing time.
I think it would be useful if you would give some recommendations on computer and monitor configurations for us subscribers. I was amazed at how low new computer systems are running these days so it is currently a good time to be looking to upgrade your equipment for using Pixinsight. I know Pixinsight forum has some recommendations but thought it might be useful to have you chime in on the topic.
