No... the forum site (this page) is NOT my website. It is a different application. On this page there are two "homes". The larger one will take you back to my website. Once on my website the HOME links refer to the members page... the first page wit…
Sorry, I do not understand... The purple band is in both images. The images are just two different stretches it appears to me.Is this the TelescopeLive data you are using?
You know I have a tutorial on this very galaxy and data set right? It is one …
I think just attach a screenshot of what you mean..this would be helpful. Most people that write what you do are using an OSC sensor. Are you?
Also, you should be using SPCC (PCC is the old thing... very old).

Do you see a "Home" as the first item in your breadcrumb list of links?Home is also at the left side of the top menu. These do not work for you?

Correct, new image would not work. You need to replace pixels on an image that has a mask. The create new image would not see the mask. Think of a mask as an extra "channel" of an image. Creation of new images ignore extra channels.

Greg,
Some screenshots would be helpful showing the issue.
1. You need to make certain the mask is the correct color. Are the stars in your mask black?2. You need to make certain the mask is NON-Linear. This is a very common error.3. Not all scripts…
Hi Adrian,
First do not optimize darks that calibrate lights. This is bad. A bias frame or short matching dark should be used to calibrate the flats. As you saw... doing otherwise is bad medicine.
If you blinked your images and the dust motes do not…
Hi John,
When you log in (and you scroll down) you will see the videos listed as I published them (newest videos at the top) year to date. And if you scroll down to the bottom of this list you will see the list continues all the way back to when I s…
Yes... I thought it might.Eventually the new version will make its way around the world..I believe the latency deals with the Amazon Edge Servers I use.-the Blockhead
I have turned the Right Click (download) access ON for your account.Start playing the file...and then right click. Save it to your computer. Let me know if you still get the cached version or the new one.
I do not know if this works...but this is a …

Remember you need enable CUDA acceleration to get your GPU to do this trick.
Russ Croman has made this multi-step process a single operation with a repository he created. This is the repository to add:https://www.rc-astro.com/TensorFlow/PixInsight/GP…
Having a "green bar" doesn't meaning anything other than a screen stretch is in place.
If you RESET the STF process (with the reset button at the bottom right) and the image goes black- this means your values are small and you are likely looking at …
First thing to always look at is the pedestal.Did you check for zeros to see if your pedestal is optimal?Just make certain we do not have a compounding issue.
It does look like your flat shows some mottling itself. I believe there can be an issue wi…
HI Pascal,
I do indicate the idea in a few older videos. The inclusion of L give the processing a little complexity. The basic idea is that you include the Ha in *both* the Red channel and the L channel in the correct proportion. This makes certain …
Yes, overlay is the "basic" method- but unless the frames are precisely matching each other, you will see a difference in a number of ways. You need to slowly go from one frame to the other in the overlap region with the appropriate blending method.…
Yes indeed.... that would be another place to look... but I am surprised! I would have thought you need a pretty small tiling scale for this to happen (and I assume you used the LN defaults). Thanks for showing this to me... I did not appreciate thi…
