Yes... ... exactly. The point is... AutoCC found this for you in a way. But you were "bad" because you did not do the Adam Block method. Once you see a problem.. you should step through all of the WBPP output... and look at the values of the images.…
Yes! This is correct!!The rejection map should show that if your frames are rotated- it will reject the areas where there is NO overlap. This means you will get a stacked image *that does not show* the rotation. This is true with proper local normal…
Indeed.. your dark frame is 100% bad!If you look at the master dark you have zeros... and hot pixels. That can't be right. Did you change your offset value on the camera?Something is wrong here. In different way- AutoCC did make things weird..but it …
The Seestar S50 uses a Sony IMX462 sensor. So in SPCC you select the default which is the Ideal QE and the Sony RGB. The lack of color may or may not have anything to do with the color calibration- it could instead deal with the quality of the data …
Mark... this is somewhat important. Can you please send me your master dark and a raw light frame?
This is an issue that might bite many people. I do not think this is entirely a one-in-a-million issue.

I agree..this is likely a hardware issue. WBPP with FastIntegration will be fine. However... if for example you need to debayer 6000 frames..that is a HUGE ask. It took my computer 90 minutes to debayer 700+ frames.

Yes...I definitely need to update some stuff. I started with FastTrack Training..that was the priority. I am just about done I think.
I will need to review the "Improving Results" video..I can't remember what I said....

There are microlenses. I believe this is the answer. Bright stars wil…
BXT is only going to enhance artifacts like those. BXT can fix aberrations that are the sort that lenses/mirrors produce. These artifacts are something else. I do not know if they are a wee bit of microlensing or some other diffraction effect (more …
How can you tell you have rotation? I do not see that... instead just dithering. Did you dither your images?
Did you blink your calibrated images to see if there was actually rotation?
Looking at rejection to understand this might be confusing.

No... you need to capture the dust in precisely the same way- casting shadows in the same way between your flats and lights. Synthetic flats will correct the large scale stuff... but not unique features like this. (at least not easily... )
If you ca…
This appears to be specific to your machine. It is basically saying there was a memory issue.
Two things to do..
1. Reinstall PI. Just in case there is something corrupt about your installation.2. You need to check your memory if the above does not…
I do not think this has reached the realm of any image processing programs we use. This is certainly something professionals do quite often to help explain certain phenomena.
It would not be heard to program really- to equate a brightness with a so…
You see the bright spots...these are locations that there is dust in your Flat that is NOT in your Light. The dark spots are places there is dust in your Light that is not in your flat.
Basically the Flat does not match the pattern of dust particle…
There is a variation I do cover- you can create night sky flats. You can do this manually or if you have enough data- you can combine it all and reject stars and everything giving you a real sky flat.

Great..but also ease into it. Really I think the best approach is the incremental one...but it relies on the fact you never see the full improvement of sharpness or smoothness until near the end. It is easy to get off-track too. So maybe this way ta…
BUT... please do watch the latest videos I have uploaded! I do think they address some of this information immediately. I have done my best to update FastTrack Training. I am currently expanding it by adding a mono example as well.
